Hello VRA family this is Dr. Brown:

If your child has medication at school in the clinic, please stop by the school office by noon on Friday, May 29th to pick the medication up. We are not able to store medication over the summer so all medication must be picked up by a parent or destroyed.

We thank you for helping to make the 25-26 school year a success and for trusting your children with us. We hope you all have a fun, restful and safe summer break.

We will continue to share updates through email, our website, and on social media about any upcoming events and the new school year.

Victory Ridge Academy is proud to announce that it has been awarded a $4,000 grant from the Florida’s Natural Growers Foundation in support of the school’s Schoolwide Behavior Management System.

The funding provided by Florida’s Natural Growers Foundation will help enhance and sustain VRA’s positive, evidence-based Schoolwide Behavior Management System, which serves approximately 475 students. The program is designed to encourage positive behavior, strengthen social-emotional development, and provide students with meaningful opportunities to build important life skills.

The grant will also help provide students with Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) experiences, including access to Victory Ridge's school store, movie days, celebratory lunches, and other positive reinforcement opportunities that encourage continued growth and success.

Victory Ridge Academy is incredibly grateful to the Florida’s Natural Growers Foundation for their generous support of our students and staff. This funding will directly impact our ability to provide meaningful reinforcement opportunities that help students develop self-regulation, social skills, and lifelong behavioral success.

The mission of Florida’s Natural Growers Foundation is to support charitable organizations specializing in the field of health, education, and youth in the Central Florida area. The Foundation grants 100% of its contributions back to community organizations.

VRA Lake Wales and Davenport wrapped up the 2026–2027 school year in an unforgettable way with their final PBIS celebrations! Students and staff at our Lake Wales campus lit up the day with an exciting Glow Party, while our Davenport campus brought the fun and sunshine with a festive Luau-themed celebration.

These events were filled with laughter, music, dancing, games, and wonderful memories as we celebrated the hard work and positive behaviors shown by our students throughout the school year.

A very special thank you goes out to our incredible Behavior Team, along with all staff members and volunteers who helped bring these events to life. Your creativity, dedication, and countless hours of hard work made these celebrations so special for our students. We appreciate everything you do to make VRA a fun, supportive, and positive place to learn and grow!

Thursday, May 28, 2026 is EARLY RELEASE.

School will release at 1:15 PM. Car riders will need to be picked up at this time. Bus riders will arrive 2 hours earlier to their bus stops.

There will be no Aftercare available.

Last week, Mrs. Sharon Padilla-Rodriguez’s and Mr. Godfrey Pitterson's classes had a wonderful time cooling off and having fun at the Water Splash in Wilson Park during their Field Trip! Students enjoyed splashing in the water, spending time with their classmates, and making lasting memories together outside of the classroom. The trip was filled with smiles, laughter, and plenty of excitement as students soaked up the sunshine and enjoyed a fun-filled day of recreation and socialization!

Last week, students in Ms. Jenniffer Emiliano-Rodriguez’s class had a wonderful time on their Field Trip to the Harvest Holler Corn Maze! Students enjoyed exploring the maze, participating in fun barn-themed activities, and spending time together outside the classroom. From exciting adventures to lots of smiles and laughter, the day was filled with memorable experiences and hands-on learning opportunities!

VRA is so excited to celebrate and recognize our incredible athletes who competed this past Friday and Saturday at ESPN’s Wide World of Sports during the Special Olympics State Games!

Our athletes represented VRA with determination, teamwork, sportsmanship, and pride throughout the competition. We are especially proud to share that:

Ronald (RJ) earned a Bronze Medal in the Individual Skills Basketball competition

Liam, JB and JJ also earned a Bronze Medal in the 3x3 Basketball competition

These accomplishments are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our athletes, coaches, and support staff who helped make this experience possible.

Please join us in congratulating our athletes on their outstanding performances and for representing us so well on the state stage. We are incredibly proud of all they achieved this weekend!
