🌟 Bok North FFA Takes on the 98th Florida FFA State Convention & Expo! 🌟

What an incredible week celebrating leadership, achievement, and the future of agriculture!

💙 Monday kicked off with our officer team competing in the State Opening and Closing Ceremonies, while LaRae Lawson represented Bok North FFA in the State Extemporaneous Public Speaking Career Development Event.

💛 Tuesday was filled with leadership and personal development workshops, giving our members valuable skills to take back to our chapter. We then attended the opening session that officially kicked off the excitement of convention week!

💙 Wednesday brought plenty of reasons to celebrate! During Session 2, we proudly cheered on Mr. Hashi Anderson as he was recognized with the Outstanding Alumni Member Award. We also celebrated Bok North FFA earning the Premier Chapter Award and being recognized as one of Florida’s Finest Chapters!

During Session 3, we listened to Area IV State Vice President Clayton Keene deliver his retiring address, “The Keene Dream.” We are incredibly proud of Clayton and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.

💛 Thursday continued the fun during Session 5, where members picked up some cow-print glasses thanks to the Florida Dairy Farmers Association and celebrated one of our chaperones as he walked across the stage to receive his American FFA Degree.

During Session 6, we celebrated alongside middle school members from across the state during the Middle School Parade of Champions. Congratulations to Landen Atkins, Kendell Farrar, Isabell McKeon, and Lane Walker for being recognized as State Champions in Ornamental Horticulture Demonstrations!

Before hitting the dance floor, our members joined the Lake Wales FFA chapters for dinner. A huge thank you to the Lake Wales FFA Alumni for supporting our students and bringing our chapters together. We wrapped up the evening with one of the BIGGEST dance parties of the year! 🕺💃

💙 Friday’s final session celebrated the accomplishments of the outgoing State Officer Team and welcomed the newly elected officers who will lead Florida FFA into the coming year.

The 98th Florida FFA State Convention & Expo was a tremendous success filled with leadership growth, new friendships, unforgettable memories, and recognition of an amazing year for Bok North FFA. We are proud of every member who represented our chapter with excellence and look forward to another outstanding year ahead!

Bok North Land Lab Clean Up Day!

Calling all Bok North FFA members, families, alumni, and supporters! Join us on July 11th as we come together to improve and strengthen our Land Lab for the year ahead.

We’ll be:
Cleaning and organizing
Installing irrigation systems
Making repairs and improvements
Preparing our learning spaces for future hands-on experiences

Every helping hand makes a difference. Whether you can stay all day or just stop by for a little while, your support will help create an even better environment for our students to learn, grow, and lead.

Lake Wales High School will be hosting free physicals from Advent Health and ECGs from Who We play For on June 11. This is for incoming 9th grade students and any other Lake Wales High School students. Lake Wales time slot is from 8am-10am, again this is for Lake Wales High School students only during this time slot.

We are seeking funding for a storage shed that will allow us to safely store tools, irrigation supplies, and equipment used by our students during hands-on agricultural learning activities. A dedicated storage space will help protect resources from Florida weather and keep our land lab organized.
