Making a Difference
Who are we? ---->Boys & Girls Homes of NC, Community Based Services Department serves children by recruiting and licensing AWESOME foster parents who will accept placement of foster children in their home. Our main office is located on campus in Lake Waccamaw, NC. We also have 3 satellite offices in Fayetteville, Raleigh, and Kinston. Here, at BGHNC, our staff offers 24/7 on call emergency availability, in-home visits, a strong advocate, transportation assistance, and provide first-hand court updates. Contact Boys & Girls Homes, CBS Dept. at 910-646-1124 to learn more about what services and support we have to offer.
What is Foster Care??? ---->Foster Care is the opening of your home to children(ages 0-21) who need temporary out-of-home placement in a nurturing, family environment. Foster Care’s ultimate goal is to reunite children with their families, prepare them for adoption and/or independent living.
How are we making a difference?----> We are making a difference through YOU! Our Foster Care program works in partnership with 21 County DSS Agencies along Eastern NC. That means we receive referrals for children needing placement from any of these counties. We work hard to find families who will provide safe, nurturing, loving homes for these children. We work in partnership with foster parents, physicians, therapists, social workers, Guardian Ad Litems, and others to ensure that our children are being taken care of! So what do you say?.....Want to make a difference?
