The Arkansas Rural Health Partnership, in collaboration with the Rural Health Association of Arkansas, is offering a scholarship through the Arkansas Rural Health Leadership Institute (ARHLI) funded through the Arkansas Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) to cover the tuition cost of the National Rural Health Association's (NRHA) Virtual Rural Hospital CEO Certification Program!

The ARHLI Scholarship covers the $9,900 tuition cost, giving eligible CEOs, CMOs, and physician leaders the opportunity to strengthen their leadership skills, gain practical knowledge in hospital operations, finance, and clinical performance, and connect with rural healthcare leaders nationwide.

📅 The next cohort begins Monday, October 19, 2026, with interactive virtual workshops held every other Monday.

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Arkansas Rural Health Partnership President & CEO Mellie Boagni, who has been named one of the 2026 Top 100 Women of Arkansas, presented by the Women's Foundation of Arkansas in partnership with Little Rock Soirée magazine! 💜

This recognition honors women whose leadership, service, and influence are helping shape the future of our state. We are especially proud to see Mellie recognized again, following her previous Top 100 Women of Arkansas honor in 2023.

At ARHP, we witness every day Mellie’s passion for rural Arkansas and her commitment to ensuring rural voices are heard. Her leadership inspires us to think bigger, work harder, and believe meaningful change is possible.

Congratulations, Mellie, and congratulations to all of the incredible women recognized among the 2026 Top 100 Women of Arkansas! We are honored to see rural healthcare represented among such an extraordinary group of leaders.

We are so excited to announce another major milestone for rural health in Arkansas! Thanks to Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders and the Arkansas RHTP, ARHP was awarded more funding to transform rural healthcare!

Through these newly awarded funds, we are planning to establish these brand new initiatives:

RISE AR—LEAD will establish the Arkansas Rural Healthcare Leadership Institute (ARHLI) as a permanent statewide resource for rural healthcare leadership development. The initiative will provide governance and executive certification scholarships, paid administrative fellowships, mentoring, leadership summits, strategic planning support, and peer-learning opportunities to strengthen leadership across Arkansas’s rural hospitals and FQHCs.

HEART—GROW KIDS will train trusted adults across rural Arkansas in Youth Mental Health First Aid, equipping them to recognize signs of mental health and substance use concerns, provide early support, and connect young people with appropriate resources. The initiative will also certify local instructors to build sustainable Youth Mental Health First Aid capacity within rural communities.

We are honored and excited for this new funding and for these new initiatives to take flight!

For Ashtyn Mullinax, our Community Health Worker Program Lead, she didn’t know that as a Kindergarten teacher, she was already doing the work of a Community Health Worker and was gaining the knowledge and experience first-hand without even realizing it!

From providing resources such as clothing and food to her students, and being that advocate for her students’ education and growth, she was gaining experience that directly translates to the role of a Community Health Worker.

Our mission is to advance the health and wellness of rural residents, providers, and healthcare organizations through dynamic collaboration, forward-thinking, and the strategic leveraging of resources. In the almost 20 years since our inception, we have been able to expand healthcare access in over 25 Arkansas counties, and partner more than over 20 member hospitals.
