Mentorship - Materials - Machines!

Fantastic Fridays with Creator Zone at the Marysville Library ✨

These photos are from our recent 3D printing workshop, where kids & families learned about design software by customizing their own creations in real time. It was wonderful to see the cross generational learning & experimenting happening!

Watching participants go from “I’ve never done this before” to confidently designing their own pieces was such a powerful reminder of how quickly new interests and passions can be ignite through creative technology and learning by doing.

We also loved being able to send participants home with resources including free online programs, and book recommendations, to continue exploring and growing their skills beyond the workshop. ❤️

What an incredible STEAM night at Cascade Elementary in Marysville! ✨

The Creator Zone team had the joy of serving 500 kids and families through an evening filled with creativity, exploration, and STEAM activities designed to inspire the next generation.

From laser cutter demonstrations and 3D printing to galaxy slime, stomp rockets, engineering challenges, and creative technology stations, it was amazing seeing so many young minds curious, engaged, and excited to learn by doing, experimenting and making!

One of the most meaningful parts of the night was watching children light up as they discovered new tools, new ideas, and new possibilities for what they can create. Events like these remind us how powerful accessible STEAM experiences can be in building confidence, sparking passions, and helping kids imagine future opportunities.

A huge thank you to the Cascade Elementary PTA, staff, volunteers, families, and community partners who helped make this event possible. We’re so grateful to bring makerspace experiences and modern creative technology into local schools and communities. ❤️

This week we had the privilege of spending time with the children, youth, and families at Interfaith Shelter sharing our love of STEAM, creativity, and modern makerspace technology. ❤️

Using the laser cutter, we showed participants how to design and laser cut their own wooden bird houses, teaching how creative technology can transform ideas into real-world creations. For many, it was their first time seeing makerspace tools in action and learning how to customize pieces of their own.

From assembling bird houses to watching designs come to life, it was incredible seeing curiosity, confidence, and excitement grow throughout the workshop.

At Creator Zone, we believe access to technology, creativity, and mentorship can inspire new interests, passions, and future possibilities. Sometimes all it takes is one project or one encouraging moment to spark hope and open a new door.

Thank you to the amazing families and staff at Interfaith Shelter for welcoming us. We’re so grateful to bring meaningful STEAM experiences into the community. ✨

🔬🎨 Summer Camp Spotlight: Creator Zone Camps

If you have a kid who loves to build, create, and figure things out, this is such a fun and unique camp to check out.

Creator Zone Summer Camps are hands on, creativity packed experiences where kids explore STEM, art, and technology in a way that actually feels fun. Designed for K through 8th grade, these camps encourage kids to imagine big, try new things, and learn by doing.

Each week follows a simple but powerful approach
Dream → Design → Make

Campers might get to work with:

✨ Laser cutting
✨ Digital design
✨ Simple robotics
✨ Crafting and creative problem solving

Everything is guided by teaching artists and mentors in a supportive environment where kids can build confidence while creating something they are proud of.

AI isn’t just a trend. It’s reshaping entire industries in real time.
What students step into over the next two years will look fundamentally different from what we grew up preparing for.

This is something our board has been actively discussing…with many of our leadership team members working in industries at the forefront of these technological changes every day.

They’re seeing it happen in real time. The shift in skills. The speed of innovation. The growing gap between traditional education and what the world is starting to demand.

How can we best facilitate students through these changes to prepare them for futures that look different to what we've all known?

When we founded Creator Zone four years ago, we could start to see this coming. We knew the future wouldn’t rely on memorization. It would require adaptability, creative thinking, and the ability to solve problems in new ways! Which is why we structure our programs in an open format mentorship model that allows for growth and flexibility.

The pace of change is creating real uncertainty for many individuals we are fortunate to cross paths with. Questions that are arising are:

What jobs will exist? What skills will matter most? How do young people find purpose in a world that keeps evolving?

This isn’t just an education challenge.
It’s a human one.

We are deeply mindful of the mental health of students navigating this shift. Because confidence, curiosity, and a sense of direction don’t just happen.

They are built through experiences that allow kids to explore, create, test ideas, ask questions and discover what they’re capable of.

We make STEAM accessible, no matter what skill level a child brings into our programs. Students are given the materials, machines, and mentorship to develop their own ideas! We foster creativity, original thought, problem solving and how to ask questions.

At Creator Zone, we are dedicated to facilitating the next generation of creators and fostering a lifelong love of learning!
