The Drunk Driving Prevention Team-DDPT is for helping and assisting patrons at bars, clubs, concert venues, sporting event, etc...not drive drunk. We will have team members at each location making patrons aware of the cabs to contact in their town if they have had too much to drink. If they aren't sure we will have breathalizers to check their alcohol levels. If someone can't afford a cab DDPT wil
l pay for the cab ride home. We will also have team members on call to take patrons home. Most organizations like MADD and the Police Departments say they are working to prevent drunk driving, however, their preventions are made up of mainly ways of punishments. Preventing drinking and driving isn't only punishing them! We can preach don't drink and drive all day. Once a person has consumed alcohol their thought processes are also impaired.
