My name is Jasimine Johnson and I am the director of Girls in Charge. Growing up I have seen multiple avenues that young women can take in their lives. You have those that are easily influenced by others. Then you have those who want to succeed in everything they encounter. I have grown to know everyone needs a little motivation to get them ahead in life. Being able to empower someone else and let them know they do not have to become a statistic in life. Being able to motivate someone and encourage them no matter where you come from as long as you are dedicated and willing, all things are possible with hard work. I started Girls In Charge because I see so many young girls who have the ability to do better but do not have the drive. Whether that is because of lack of family support or just not being able to talk to a close friend or family about certain things. Girls In Charge will help your young girl walk with confidence and talk with knowledge. We all have something that may hinder us from accomplishing our goals, but we have to take a stand together and become POWERFUL. We all have a special uniqueness in us, but we have to find out what it is and BLOSSOM.
