Lake Preston's Grilling for Kids Every Sunday while the Lake Preston Pool is open, someone or some organization will be grilling in Thorsnes Park from 4:30PM-6PM!

Delicious grilled food will be provided free for kids!! Adults can eat with free will donation!

I apologize for the lateness of this post, but we got some great things coming up on Sunday where KIDS EAT FREE!!! We even picked up a new donation, and it is awesome!

It’s been a busy week at the grilling hut. It is pretty much complete! Grilling is going to become easier and easier! Can’t wait to share it with all the kids and the volunteer grillers!

This week, the Kingsbury Classic Cruisers are running the grill! I would expect a hot rod or two to be in the area.

We have bread graciously donated by First National Bank of Lake Preston!

Delicious beef from our first anonymous local producer of the year!

Hot dogs from the New Horizon Lounge!

Chips from our local American Legion post!

Water from Dakotaland Federal credit Union of DeSmet!

And now onto the good part. Dutch Dakota Dairy of Lake Preston has donated ice cream for the kids! And not just one week’s worth, but for the rest of the summer!

A big thanks to all the volunteers that keep volunteering their resources, money, and most importantly, their gracious donation of time to make this program successful. See everyone on Sunday!

Welcome back to the start of another great summer where KIDS EAT FREE!!!!!

First up, if you haven’t heard, KIDS GET FREE POOL PASSES!!! Yep! Free Pool passes this summer! Hopefully the kids get out and have a lot of fun! We have other things lined up for the kids too! We’ll brag about all the good that happens in Lake Preston soon!

Our First Sunday is rapidly approaching! For June 7th, we’ve got the Heartland Badger Ramblers! I hear they are a couple of families that are simply representing their townships and excited for Summer. Also heard they are bringing Ice Cream, Brownies, and Rhubard Crisp! Oh boy!

We’ve got plenty water from Dakotaland Federal Credit Union of Desmet!

Chips we’re brought to us from The Porter L. Rich American Legion.

We’ve got some great tasting beef brought to you by a local anonymous producer! Hot Dogs from the New Horzizon Lounge!

And all year, your bread is going to be brought to you from First National Bank of Lake Preston! So cool!!!

First up, The Thursday Gents cooked around 160 burgers, and 80 hotdogs for kids, parents, and faculty members at the Lake Preston Field Day! Could not have asked for a better day! The lines were long, moved quickly, and the athletes were hungry! Big Shout Out to Dakotaland Federal Credit Union of DeSmet for supplying the water!

Yep. KIDS GET INTO THE POOL FOR FREE THIS SUMMER!!!!!!!

Because of everyone’s hard work at our wild game feed, we were able to have a discussion with the City of Lake Preston about pool passes! We worked out a deal and now the pool will be open to kids all Summer! Kids, go be kids this summer and have fun!!!!

On to some more business, important business. Our Sundays are fully booked! Here is our current list! It’s going to be another great summer where KIDS EAT FREE!!

How about this to start off the year! Our first cook out won’t be at the park, it will be at the Lake Preston Football Field for a Youth Field Day where KIDS EAT FREE! Big shout out to The Thursday Gents for running the grill for the kids!

In February we had a great fundraiser! We’ve got big plans, and an important announcement! However, that announcement will have to wait until May 13th. It’s pretty exciting and the kids will benefit greatly!

We do have a few serious things to get to though. We have some open Sunday Nights yet for this summer, so please pass this along so we can get our summer taken care of! If you’re curious what a Sunday Night Grilling looks like, you basically show up at the grill hut at 4:30PM, get set up, grill the food we have set up for you, shut the grill off at 6PM, clean up, and enjoy the rest of your day! Pretty simple! Here is our current schedule, the people/groups we have signed up, and the openings! Hope to see all the kids on May 13th and let’s put the pesky Thursday Gents to work!

Here we go! One final push! Come out this Saturday, February 21st for our annual Wild Game Feed at the American Legion in Lake Preston! We’ll have a bunch of delicious food items! Here we go! It’s that time of year again! Our annual fundraiser! Last year we were able to do some great things around our community!

We got the grilling hut up and operating!

We bought a lot of pool passes!

We donated to our youth programs!

We bought jerseys!

And of coarse, kids got to EAT FREE!!!!!!

Last week where KIDS EAT FREE!!! Summer is coming to a close. It was an amazing summer! Let’s enjoy one last Sunday of Grilling for Kids. This week we got 21st Century Manufacturing on the grill! We received a huge donation from a local producer! We have those delicious hotdogs from the New Horizon Lounge. Bread from First National Bank of good ol’ LP. Water and Chips from our local American Legion. We can’t thank everyone enough!

Only 2 weeks left where KIDS EAT FREE!! This week, we have members from the Lake Preston School district cooking the meals! We had a massive burger donation come in from a local producer! We hotdogs from another local producer! Bread from First National Bank! Chips from the American Legion! It’s going to be a great way to start off August!

Sorry for the late start! Got distracted!

Here we go! KIDS EAT FREE when the North Preston Lutheran Church runs the grill! Heard a rumor that they are bring the fixing to make your burger a deluxe! We have burgers donated by Virchow Farms, all beef hotdogs donated by local citizen #2, Bread from First National Bank of Lake Preston, chips from the American Legion, and the last of the water from Good Guys Garage!

Adults are welcome to come eat with a free will donation! Next week we’ll have members from the Lake Preston School District grilling the meal! Only 3 weeks left! Please come enjoy a great hot meal!
