The Northern Forest Atlas website contains about 5,000 photos, 36 videos, three digital atlases totaling 2,200 pages and containing about 4,000 images, and about 25 large-format charts. The imagery currently includes woody plants, mosses, sedges, and landscapes. All are available for free download from the website, and may be used for any personal, educational, or nonprofit use. We also have book-length photographic guides and folding charts for mosses, sedges, and woody plants, produced in partnership with Cornell University Press, for sale.
Our current projects are a photographic guide and a digital atlas of grasses, and our first ecological field guide, to woody plants, both in progress and scheduled for 2022. Beyond, we are planning a guide to ecological patterns, and ecological field guides to mosses and sedges.
