Local 1660 1st Vice President Sammi Lundeby had the honor of presenting scholarship recipient Addison Tuning with her award at Carlton High School’s Awards Night.

Addison is the daughter of Local 1660 member Billy Tuning. The Local 1660 Scholarship Fund is made possible through the generous support of our golf tournament sponsors and participants. VP Lundeby oversees the scholarship program, reviewing applications and selecting recipients.

This past Saturday, Local 1660 President Chris Hart presented the Union Member of the Year Award to AJ Howard at TVF&R’s Meritorious Awards.

Local 1660’s priorities consist of wages, hours, working conditions, safety and retirement security. This award honors AJ who has worked above and beyond the last three years to take the TVF&R schedule from a three-shift model to a four-shift model.

Thank you, AJ, for the dedication over the last few years towards the health and wellbeing of our membership. Congratulations on being Local 1660’s Union Member of the Year!

Come visit Local 1660 members this Friday June 5th from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for one of the IAFF’s oldest traditions and fundraisers, Fill the Boot!

Firefighters will be at Fred Meyer in Beaverton between Canyon & Beaverton-Hillsdale Hwy to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association!

Local 1660 members from & responded to an apartment fire last evening in Forest Grove. Crews arrived to a fast-moving exterior fire that was moving to the interior and attic space. Firefighters extinguished the fire in less than 25 minutes while they were still on their initial air bottles. Crews were also assisted by members of .
