☀️ It's the middle of summer.

The trees aren't dropping leaves. Yet throughout our neighborhoods, workers can still be seen operating harmful industrial-sized gas-powered leaf blowers, roaring across lawns, sidewalks, parking lots, and streets.

💨 Much of what residents actually witness is workers using industrial equipment to blow dust, dirt, a few grass clippings, and often seemingly nothing at all.

Using industrial-sized gas-powered leaf blowers for these tasks is overkill and the wrong tool for the job.

But some tell us this is necessary.

❓ That doesn't explain why entire communities should be expected to tolerate excessive noise and exhaust emissions so homeowners can save a few dollars and landscaping companies can maximize profits.

The claim that gas-powered leaf blowers are "cheaper" ignores the real costs: reduced quality of life for residents, excessive noise exposure for workers and neighbors, air pollution, environmental damage, and the health impacts associated with emissions and airborne particulate matter.

📉 These costs don't disappear. They are simply shifted from the landscaping company and homeowner onto the broader community.

🔄 These are 1980s tools and landscaping practices that have no place in modern society when quieter, cleaner alternatives exist and the harmful impacts of these machines are well documented.
