Join us on Tomorrow, June 16 from 6:00–8:30 PM for a special Kids Night in partnership with the Orion Township Public Library as they kick off their Summer of Stories Reading Program! 🎉

Bring the kids for a fun-filled evening featuring a hands-on craft, info about the reading program, and a chance to celebrate 100 years of stories in our community. 💛

And of course… it wouldn’t be Kids Night without a sweet treat!

What an amazing night at Main Street Oakland County’s annual The Main Event awards program last night at The Roxy in Rochester!

Around 20 Lake Orion board and committee members, volunteers, and staff rallied together for a night of county-wide Main Street energy and celebration.

The Lake Orion DDA was in the running for the following:

Small Business Retention and Attraction- Downtown LOdown (business owners meetings)

Main Street Leader- DDA Board Chair Debbie Burgess

Volunteer of the Year- The Illuminators volunteer program

🔥The Lake Orion DDA is proud to announce the results from the evening!

💚Volunteer of the Year Winner- The Illuminators volunteer program ($600 prize)

💚We also received our plaque from Main Street America and Main Street Oakland County for being recognized as an Accredited Program for 2026.

And…..this great announcement happened, too:

💚Lake Orion DDA, along with those DDAs considered “rural”, received a $20,000 grant from the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation. We are incredibly thankful for this generous contribution to our DDA.

And the last announcement:
🎉The Main Street America national conference will be held in Detroit in 2027! Representatives from around the nation will descend upon Detroit and will engage with various communities in the area. More details to come!
