Over the next week, you’ll see us thanking many of the incredible businesses, organizations, and individuals who helped make this year’s fireworks possible.
But today… our biggest thank you is simply to YOU, Lake Orion. 💚🤍
Over the past month, we’ve watched this community come together in ways that reminded us exactly what makes this town so special.
During the show We heard that neighbors helped people at Green’s Park. We heard of patience, kindness, and respect from everyone who came out to celebrate safely. ❤️🤍💙
During our fundraising, We saw people sharing our posts, spreading the word, encouraging others to give, and taking pride in keeping a Lake Orion tradition alive.
And then something amazing happened…
In just over a month, a very small amount of time, this community came together and raised nearly $30,000 to ensure the fireworks could light up our sky once again.
Yes, we are incredibly grateful for every large donation.
But if we’re being honest, some of the donations that touched us the most were the $10, $16, and $20 gifts. Those donations came from people who simply wanted to help however they could and that is how we knew that this tradition was simply a special one. They were families, neighbors, and friends saying, “I want to be part of this.” 🎆❤️
We can’t say we weren’t a little worried if this event was going to happen, but this year proved something pretty darned cool:
Every dollar mattered. Every share mattered. Every act of kindness mattered. And building memories still matter!
So from all of us on the Lake Orion Fireworks Committee…THANK YOU LAKE ORION! 🙌🥰❤️
