Today we recognize and WELCOME Linda, our newly hired case manager! We are so grateful to God and to you for enabling us to hire this faithful servant of God who loves the mission and serves with passion! Enjoy her answers to our questions below!
• Where do you live (city)?
I live in Pontiac
• What first brought you to Safe & Sound, and what made you want to get involved?
A caregiving position introduced me to Safe and Sound ministries. I felt drawn to it in my spirit. I had no idea if or how I would be involved. But God was working out all the details.
• What’s something about your life or background that shapes the way you give and serve?
My faith was a huge part. Also the many challenges and difficulties I faced reminded me that just as God was always there for me, it’s important to provide support and help to others
• How has supporting Safe & Sound shaped your understanding of dignity or community for special needs adults?
Serving at Safe and Sound has given me a much bigger view of the challenges that special needs people have. Assisting in finding solutions, encouraging, or just listening as difficulties arise is needed.
• What’s a simple joy in your life right now?
A simple joy in my life right now is just the anticipation of good things that I know God has planned for me as I serve him in this ministry.
• What would you say to someone who’s thinking about helping Safe & Sound but feels nervous or unsure?
To someone who has doubts and questions about being a part of a ministry such as this I would say ask God to show you through others and to give you peace about it if the time and opportunity is in his will. He is faithful and trustworthy.
