Lake Odessa Fair

What’s better than a new cupola?? Four new cupolas!! Next time you stroll through, be sure to check them out and let us know what you think!

Also, thank you to the brother team who installed these for us but said if we acknowledged them they would quit doing “fair projects”🤐🤩!

We appreciate the community’s help on our last post.

The youth have been identified and parents have already reached out wanting to help make this right as soon as possible. Like we said, kids will be kids - but accountability matters at every age.

Thank you all! And now back to our regularly scheduled, joyful content. "Be the light” folks."

We sure love kids and we sure love their honesty!

Thank you Michigan Department of Agriculture & Rural Development - MDARD for the visit and for helping us improve the fair one grant cycle at a time 🤝!

WE HAVE OUR WINNERS!

It took a few days but...all the "likes" have finally been counted, and the community has spoken!

Our local creators absolutely crushed it, but these two entries took home the top spots:

Grand Prize Winner: Ruthie Haskins "Here for Cheer" Runner-Up Winner: Brooke Kurtz "The Fair is Blooming."

PS: Look for our 2027 Fair Art Contest to be announced in winter 2027.

We love this annual community event 💜🩷🏐!

Hats off to the Emily Duits Memorial Sand Volleyball Tournament board and volunteers! Thank you for bringing Lake Odessa and the West Michigan volleyball community together to honor Emily. The day beautifully celebrated her passion for the game and her love for family and friends.

We knew she looked pretty spectacular from the ground, but really cool to see the “Show Barn” in her new home from the sky view!

Another shout out to Ben Teachworth, Brian Haskin, Allen Haskin & Co. for not only moving this beauty last week but adding a concrete floor and sidewalks this week 🤩.

Thanks to our fan Paul Spitzley for sharing these photos with us.

(🤔 Also, not us over here trying to figure out a way to use that tall blue and white thing to make our grass green)

We need YOUR HELP! Gosh don't worry, it's not to move a barn!

Help us pick a winner from our 2026 Lake Odessa Fair Photo Board Contest! Our local artists and fair enthusiasts knocked it right "out of the fair" with these entries. We simply can't pick a 2026 favorite, but you can!

Check out all the entries. Be sure to "like" your favorites now through 7/29 and the board with the most "likes" will win $150 and second most likes will receive $50.

Move a barn wasn’t on our summer 2026 bingo card but when I guy approaches and says, “why don’t you move that” and then proceeds to assemble a team to “move it.” You step back and trust the process. We know we always say this, but WE are blest with the best volunteers.

Thank you Ben Teachworth, Brian Haskin, Allen Haskin, HBD & crew, Haskin Farms & Michael Haskin for giving the “Show Barn” her new view of the grounds❤️🤍💙.

Wow!!! Amazing things happen when the community comes together! Over 100 kids plus volunteers filled the fairgrounds on this very 🥵 evening for fellowship and community! And we can confirm the kids were all smiles and laughter; the heat could not steal anyone’s joy!

Organizers welcome anyone that wants to join on Day 2 and 3 (Wednesday & Thursday), just arrive with a parent by 5:30pm to complete registration! Grades K-6 welcome to join the fun!
