The St. Johns River Water Management District is using our property to conduct Minimum Flows and Levels field work. We are delighted to be able to cooperate in this important work.

The Board of Directors held their annual meeting last week. All went well and we were updated. We are sorry to lose some active people due to health problems but we wish them well in the future.

Last Saturday, April 18, members of Seminole Audubon had the ware opportunity of touring The Preserve under the direction of Mark Leidigh and Jim Denslow-what a great experience to see some of what's left of natural Lake Mary.

On Feb 7 we were toured by Cuplet Fern Florida Native Plant Society-They cleaned up non-natives-great help. Hope to see this group again soon

The Board of Directors had their annual meeting Dec 29 via Zoom and telephone. Thanks to all! A lively discussing was had-maybe next year we can all gather.

A small group from Cuplet Fern toured the preserve Nov. 3. A report was submitted with their findings and recommendations. The Board will take it into consideration. The Board much appreciates the help of Cuplet Fern. They are considering another tour on Dec 6.

The annual meeting of the Board of Directors and members was held Dec 12 with all members of the Board present

Mark & Josh ran the tractor and cleaned up-there are a tremendous number of tortoise on the property-hopefully Josh's pictures will follow.

Faith Jones and Connie Dolan did the North American Butterfly survey July 4. There was an increased number of Spicebush Swallowtails and Monarchs. Unfortunately, it was very dry and Redroot blooms were past peak-usually a magnet for Hairstreaks and Skippers.

Crystal Lake Peserve was toured and inspired this past Saturday. Come join us the next time we we are open to the public. Pictures were taken and hopefully bublished-tour really enjoyed by members of Seminole Aubudon and Crystal Lake Preserve membes.
