The LLAP&CA is a 503c community benefit nonprofit dedicated to serving Lake Los Angeles. The purpose of the annual Lake Los Angeles Community Carnival is to facilitate a family-friendly neighborhood carnival that also serves the surrounding region and showcases the rural atmosphere of the Eastern Antelope Valley and the remote Los Angeles County community. The carnival provides a platform for local and regional artists, musicians, organisations, and business partnerships through sponsorships and vendor opportunities.

Our Story

Lake LA Park Association is a non-profit organization.

The Intent and Purpose of the Lake Los Angeles Park Association (LLAPA) is to oversee the use of the special park tax of Water, Landscaping, and Lighting District 45. This tax is to be used for the growth and development of Sorensen Community Regional Park. The Lake Los Angeles Park Association (LLAPA) shall represent the community of Lake Los Angeles in its park and recreational needs.

The duties of the Board of Directors shall be to act as good faith agents of the LLAPA in the establishment, completion, improvement and maintenance of Sorensen Community Regional Park and any new Los Angeles County Parks that may become located within Lake Los Angeles.

The Friends of the Park (FoP) is a standing committees of the LLAPA. All interested members of the community may and are encouraged to serve on the FoP committee. The FoP’s intent and purpose is to solicit volunteers to assist the paid county staff, to promote the welfare of the community and to strive for the improvement and expansion of the park and recreation services to reach more of the community.
