Western Carolina Dog Fanciers recently learned of a need within the area that our club represents. Macon County's shelter friends, Pawsitive Shelter Volunteers, maintains a food pantry to assist pet owners in their times of need. They were pretty much completely depleted. On April 4th, WCDFA proudly donated $500 to the non-profit organization to help replenish their pet food stores. WCDFA member Christy Swanton (center) presented the check to PSV Board Members, Debby Dillon (left) and Izabel Evans (right. )

📢 Edited to add important run time and DAY OF ENTRY information... I am also trying to make sure people know we are doing CATs as well, and that all of our morning blocks are now full, so we will be unable to do any Fast CAT day ofs until 1:30 on Friday and Saturday, and between 11 & 1 on Sunday. We don't want folks to show up and have to wait.📢

WCDFA and Time to Fly are excited to, once again, bring FASTCAT and Coursing Ability Tests to Haywood County. Preentries can be made at Time to Fly's website, $25 per run. Day of entries accepted, as available, $30/run. This is a large event, so day ofs may be limited. Fun runs are also available, $5/run, as time allows. CGC and Trick Dog Testing is also offered on Saturday only. Cost is $20/test. Come prepared with cash or check as cellular service and wifi are limited. Sign up here: https://m.signupgenius.com/ #!/showSignUp/5080d4ba5ae2ba2fc1-cgctrick . Again, day of sign-up is possible but may be limited. This sport works using the dog's prey drive and love of the chase. No previous training or experience is required. If you have questions, please reach out here or email [email protected]. Come out to Lake Logan Conference Center and have a day of fun with your dog(s).
