The moment we reached our initial goal of 300 shoes in one month. Little did we know that we would reach over 450 in September and then over 500 by mid October!!

Who are we?

Julia and Phillip Gibson are a couple living in Lake Junaluska, NC. Their friend Edward Pritchett shared with them how there were near 400 children ages 1.5 to 17 years of age in constant need of gently used shoes. They then began a commitment to collect 300 pairs of shoes during the month of Sept 2020. The community response was overwhelming. By the end of Sept over 450 pairs of shoes had been donated. By mid October shoes were still being sent to a number over 500 pairs. They decided to continually collect shoes from whomever is willing to give. These shoes are a gift to a group of joyful children. Thank you to all who give.
