Today our LevelUp interns were able to visit some of our amazing community resources, including the Brazosport Cares Food Pantry, where they learned how over 200 families are fed each day through the support of volunteers, sponsors, and community partners. They also toured the Brazoria County Dream Center to see how individuals and families are connected to resources that meet everyday needs.

We're grateful for organizations that are making a difference and helping our interns learn the value of community, compassion, and service.

One of the most meaningful parts of LevelUp is the mentorship that happens by individuals and community leaders who choose to invest their time, wisdom, and encouragement into the next generation. 💛

Through every conversation, lesson, and moment of support, they’re helping our interns grow in confidence, and purpose. Their hope is that each young adult leaves this summer knowing they are capable, valued, and equipped for what’s ahead.

This summer, Angel is joining us through our LevelUp Internship Program!

When asked why he decided to be part of LevelUp, he shared:
"I decided to join LevelUp as a second chance and opportunity to bring me closer to my career path in the electrical field."

This summer, he's hoping to learn:
💛 How to build meaningful connections
💛 What hands-on experience in the workforce is like
💛 How to strengthen his customer service and hospitality skills

This week, our LevelUp interns had the opportunity to visit organizations like UTMB and the Salvation Army while hearing from professionals across various fields about their career journeys and life experiences.

One of the greatest joys of watching our interns grow through this program is seeing the connections they're making not only within themselves as they gain confidence and discover their strengths, but also with the people around them. These experiences are helping them grow, broaden their perspectives, and better understand the impact they can have in the world around them.🌎🫶🏼

Our LevelUp interns kicked off the week focusing on building confidence, connection, and future-ready skills. Yesterday morning began with team-building activities centered around communication and collaboration, followed by time with our community partners at Brazosport College, where participants worked toward earning their Digital Literacy Certification.

We're grateful for opportunities that help empower young people, open doors for their future, and remind them of all they are capable of achieving. 💻✨

When asked why she decided to be part of LevelUp, she shared:
“I wasn’t sure what my options were after high school until Ms. April invited me to join LevelUp. Now I feel like I can see what is out there and maybe find something I enjoy that can possibly become a career.”
