The Get Started Workshop will be presented by Kern Initiative for Talent + Entrepreneurship KITE and hosted by Kernville Cowork from 5:30 - 8:30 on Thursday the 22nd.

Well, Whiskey Flat Days is here!

Powder Packin' Powers and I will be having one final event - our WFD Kick-off Party this afternoon at Kern Valley Museum at 4, right before the Street Dance and Iron Horse Rodeo. We'll be talking a little about some history and having a Q&A about the Community Hub we're fixin' to build.

Thanks to The Bakersfield Californian for the excellent coverage of all the excitement we're expecting over the next few days! This little town of Kernville (formerly known as Whiskey Flat) sure is the place to be this weekend!

And we're fortunate to have some beautiful weather predicted too. Those storms that previously threatened the weekend have decided to wait just a bit before coming out, and we'll have some warm and mostly sunny days for the Big Weekend!

Big fun is headed to Kernville this weekend for Whiskey Flat Days. For four days, the town's population swells like the Kern River after a series of storms.

The town of Kernville (formerly known as Whiskey Flat) sure is busy with folks getting ready for the Big Weekend! I see vendors setting up, the Schoeppner Amusement Carnival coming in, Justin from Kernville Cowork setting up setting up the Wi-Fi for the weekend (making many vendors able to accept cards instead of cash only), and lots of work going on at the Whiskey Flat Encampment!

We're looking at a wonderful and amazing weekend! Even the weather itself is changing to make for a better weekend, with warm and mostly only partly cloudy conditions! It's sure to be an amazing weekend!

I think Power Packin' Powers missed a little detail about the Iron Horse Rodeo (happenin' Friday at 5 in the evening)... It'll take place on more solid ground.

Regardless, he's right about a few things. This Valley is an excellent place to live, full of loads of fun outdoor activities. And we are fixin' to build a Community Hub in the town of Lake Isabella!
