In the first six months after my diagnosis, I met more people affected by breast cancer and various other cancers than I care to think about... and that number unfortunately continues to grow. Most have a similar story when it comes to finances. Whether insurance coverage was available or not, each individual was devastated not only by the news of their diagnosis, but financially! I know just base
d on my own findings and the course of treatment that I have chosen for myself so far that this organization would have an everlasting effect on the community if for one major reason alone as just making "options" available. The one thing every cancer patient will agree on is they like to have options and there are a lot more out there than conventional medicine would let you believe. I posted my personal story on Facebook initially for my friends, but after a number of them read it, I was repeatedly asked if they could share it with others as they found it inspiring. I'm hoping with Angels for Robin, I can inspire many more. The success of this program will come with proof of change. Change for current and future cancer patients to not feel "doomed". Change for physicians and facilities locally to adopt more natural treatments and more effective testing/screening processes and more importantly, prevention methods. Change that those doctors and offices will then in turn spread their knowledge and success with others to reach out to more patients, more families and more practices. The success of this project comes with each individual that will smile with the true sense of hope instead of a forced one.
