This morning was absolutely incredible. ☀️

Our very first Walking on Sunshine 5K was such a success, and I could not be more grateful for this village. I loved seeing so many wagons and strollers rolling along the path together, and people showing up to support one another. We had people in every stage of life walking side by side, from pregnant moms and brand new babies to great grandparents! It was exactly what this nonprofit is all about, community and connection.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, walked with us, supported our mission, volunteered, donated a raffle basket, and cheered us on. Every single person there helped support local families and reminded us what it looks like when a community chooses to show up for one another.

My heart is so full. This was just the beginning, and we are already so excited to grow it even bigger next year. Thank you for choosing to be the sunshine. 🤍

Parents and children in Lake Havasu City can enjoy an effortless day in the park. On Saturday, March 7, the Walking on Sunshine 5K features a stroller- and family-friendly route.

It was brought to our attention that our QR code for the 5K wasn’t working. We have no idea how many people may have tried to sign up or donate while it was down, and we’re so sorry for the frustration that may have caused.

The link is back up and working now, so if you attempted to register or give and it didn’t go through, please try again. We truly appreciate your support more than you know.

Also, there is only one day left to sign up if you’re wanting to order a shirt. They are preorder only and must be ordered before the cutoff.

Why do we walk? ☀️

We walk for the mom sitting in the dark at 2am, feeding her baby and wondering if she’s the only one who feels this tired… this overwhelmed… this unsure.

We walk for the parent silently battling postpartum anxiety.

For the marriage that feels strained under the weight of new responsibilities.

For the family who just needs someone to look them in the eyes and say, “You are not failing. You are not alone.”

We walk because community can change the trajectory of a family.

This 5K isn’t about pace or medals. It’s about keeping support groups free. It’s about car seat checks that protect tiny lives. It’s about creating safe spaces where parents can exhale, be honest, and find their village.

Every step we take is a reminder: we see you. We care about you. We are walking with you.
