Relics & Rods of Lake Havasu City

The Relics & Rods Car Club was formed in 1975 by 9 residents who had an interest in old cars.

During the first few years the club met at various locations around town including Kings Clipper Barber Shop, Wings Best Western Motel, the Chamber of Commerce. Relics & Rods of Lake Havasu is a non-profit organization founded in 1975. Since that time they have been supporting their community through contributions made possible via their annual Run to the Sun Car Show held the 3rd week of October.

The success of this show has enabled them to contribute well over $350,000 to their local charity organizations and individuals in need of assistance.

Relics & Rods | Giving Back to Our Community

One of the most important parts of Run to the Sun is the ability to give back to organizations that make a real difference in Lake Havasu City.

Recently, Kathie & Rich Fountain of the Relics & Rods Car Club presented two $1,000 donations to The Salvation Army, supporting both their Food Pantry and the Forgotten Seniors Program. These programs provide essential help to members of our community who need it most.

This is exactly why our club works so hard each year to bring the Run to the Sun event to life — supporting our community and helping local organizations continue their incredible work. ❤️

Our friends at Relics and Rods of Lake Havasu City have been hard at work collecting bags, but the need is growing! These blankets are hand-woven and given to our community homeless individuals.

They are lightweight and provide a much-needed layer of insulation and dignity for those sleeping outdoors.

How you can help: Instead of tossing those plastic bags in the trash, bring them to us! We are looking for clean, dry plastic grocery bags to keep this project moving.

📍 Drop-off Location: The American Legion at 181 Paseo del Sol

A heartfelt thank you from one of our winners!

We wanted to share this wonderful message from Eddo Earley, who, along with his honey, took home an award at this year’s Run to the Sun, for their beautiful 1965 Cobra.

Eddo shared his appreciation with a touching note to the ECHO Group/ Band of Brothers California for selecting their car. It’s these moments that remind us what this event is all about — community, camaraderie, and a shared love of classic cars.
