We were all about Earth Day on 4/23, even if we celebrated that theme a day late! Toastmaster Karen was joined by General Evaluator Don and Table Topics Master Evangeline, as Stephanie gave a great informative speech about Toastmasters’ roles and officer responsibilities. Phoebe was our very busy Timer and Wordmaster/Grammarian. Billy jumped in with lively Table Topics answers. There were hardly any filler words used!
Our next meeting on 4/30 will also be Zoom only. But guests are always welcome and can contact us for the link anytime before the 6:15pm meeting starts.

We had a great meeting themed around cheerful and sorrowful goodbyes and new beginnings at our virtual meeting on 4/2. We also decided to meet virtually the rest of this month due to some members’ temporary mobility handicaps. We would love to have you join us at any Thursday evening meeting. “Go Green!” was our theme on 3/19 with Toastmaster Jheli Johnston, 2xDTM. This was a Zoom only meeting. Stephanie gave an encouraging and positive speech. Phoebe let attendees choose thematic Table Topics based on numbers. Karen evaluated and counted filler words and use of the Word of the Day, “vernal.”
Guest Toastmaster Billy had fun and asked questions about the club at the end of the meeting.
We invited him back, of course!
Next week we meet hybridly at Mohave College and will also celebrate three birthdays. Please come ready for dessert!

There is so much to learn and reminisce upon at a Toastmasters meeting! Our Toastmaster of the day, Stephanie, laid the framework for an interesting meeting 3/12 with a theme of “Childhood Memories: Messages Only Our Parents Could Teach Us.” Everyone was able to stay on theme. Jheli’s speech let us in on her childhood memories of her father and mother. Karen’s Table Topics had us digging for our own memories of things we learned as we were growing up. We were encouraged to use the Word of the Dat, “attunement.” There were few filler words used and everyone stayed within time limits.
Next week we will be only on Zoom, but in two weeks we will again meet hybridly at Mohave College in Lake Havasu at 6:15pm. We plan to celebrate birthdays that have occurred thus far this year then, too!

We had a lot of fun at our 2/26
Zoom meeting! We reflected on Winter and welcomed the upcoming Spring with 2XDTM Toastmaster Evangeline Johnston. Stephanie gave a very inspirational speech, evaluated by Phoebe. Karen was our Table Topics Master and General Evaluator.
Our next Thursday meeting will be Zoom only. Please contact us for the link. Our meetings start at 6:15pm. We hope you can make it!
