95 years ago today, Amelia Earhart became the first president of The Ninety-Nines.
In 1931, Amelia helped lead an organization created to support and advance women pilots—carrying forward a spirit of courage, camaraderie, and possibility.
Today, The Ninety-Nines continue that legacy as the owners of the Amelia Earhart Birthplace Museum, preserving the Atchison home where Amelia’s story began and inspiring new generations to dream bigger and reach higher.
From a young girl in Atchison, Kansas to a pioneer in aviation, Amelia’s legacy continues to take flight.
Her story began here. Her legacy continues with all of us.
