There is a Band Booster meeting in the band room tomorrow at 5:00pm. (Right after marching band rehearsal)

The LHHS Marching Band had their first competition at North Canyon High School last night and took home 2nd place!!! A big shout out to our parent chaperones Marnie, Shana, and Alea who rode on the bus and helped with equipment and keeping these kids hydrated! Another big shoutout to some parents, Dan and Lisa, who drove up separately who also helped with set up and hand down to help these kids focus on their big performance! We appreciate all the help we can get and look forward to the rest of this season!

We are excited for the first concert of the year! The Boosters will have cookies and water for sale by donation.

New this year we will actually be bringing our 50/50 raffle to concerts! See our 50/50 table before the concert and during intermission. Winner will be announced at the end of the concert. You must be present with winning ticket to claim your prize.

We hope to see you there!

Join us in the LHHS Performing Arts Center for the fall concert on Wednesday, September 30th at 6pm! Admission is FREE and open to all. Light refreshments provided by our LHHS Band of Knights Band Boosters! Come hear the progress of our students this first quarter of the school year, and enjoy the performances of the LHHS Jazz Band and Wind Ensemble. We hope to see you at our concert on Wednesday! ***MEGA ANNOUNCEMENT***

The LHHS Band Boosters are rolling out a new fundraiser this year, drumroll please…..

PIE THE STAFF!!

All students of the LHHS music program will get a chance to pie our very own Marching Band Staff at the Marching Showcase! This includes Director Mrs. Schreiber, Assistant Director Anthony Espinoza, Color Guard Instructor and Choreographer Kiana Ball, Drill Writer and Visual Staff Craig Schreiber, and Wind Tech Britney Busnardo.

Students can earn a chance to pie staff members by receiving donations for the LHHS Band Boosters program. For every $50 in donations they earn they will receive one raffle ticket. Each staff member will have their own bucket that the students can turn their tickets into. At the showcase at the end of the season each staff member will pick a ticket and the student with the winning ticket will be the one to pie that staff member!

Donations can be made by cash, check (addressed to LHHS Band Boosters), tax credit, or square. For tax credit and square donations the boosters will need a receipt to apply the donation to the students earnings.

And we almost forgot to mention that this particular fundraiser is open to the Alumni of the LHHS Music program as well!

This week we’ll be going over football games for the season, some upcoming fundraisers, and some changes to help the future of our Booster program.

AWARD-WINNING MUSIC TONIGHT!

Over the weekend, our band students traveled to California to compete in the Music in the Parks concert band festival, and they represented Lake Havasu High School beautifully.

The Wind Ensemble earned 2nd place overall with a score of 91, receiving the program’s first-ever Superior rating, the highest rating awarded!

Even more, out of 10 performing ensembles, including jazz groups, choirs, and bands, LHHS was also awarded the Esprit de Corps Award, recognizing reputation, maturity, professionalism, respect, and the way students represent their school and community.

We are incredibly proud of these students for their hard work, dedication, and the way they continue to shine both on and off the stage.

You can hear this award-winning music at the band’s final concert of the year tonight, Tuesday, May 12, at 6 p.m. in the LHHS Performing Arts Center. Admission is free!
