the state of Arizona, to safe guard our Profession and Community from misinformation, scammers-scratchers, and health hazards that are steadily growing in our Industry. Our Members Currently Include (listed alphabetically):

1. Business Licenses, Blood Borne Pathogens Certifications and more!
2. Proper Safety and Sterilization procedures
3. Operate according to and above the standards set forth by the state of Arizona. On this page you will find safe and reliable locations to get body art and/or piercings, see new information or events in our local community that have to do with Tattoos/Piercings and be able to report unsafe or dangerous practices in our community. Our members are dedicated keeping our community safe and happy with our Art, now and in the future.

BEWARE OF TATTOO SCAMS!!!
There's been a massive influx or scammers advertising tattoos for cheap/free on local Facebook groups. If you can not meet this person in a licensed business location DO NOT SEND THEM MONEY! They are not a real tattoo artist!

If they say they can come to you or they are "mobile" they are either a scammer or it's an illegal practice. In the state of Arizona, tattooing in a residence, without full licensing or without proper equipment/space is ILLEGAL . And for good reason, our local tattoo artists have undergone years of proper training in body art practices and sterilization. The amount of infected or poorly done tattoos coming in to local shops has been staggering and life threatening! Please make careful choices with such a permanent procedure.

At APTS, we’re committed to keeping tattooing safe, sterile, and professional.
We do not support tattoo or piercing schools or entering the industry without a proper apprenticeship.

A real apprenticeship takes years of hands-on training under an experienced mentor—teaching safety, skill, and respect for the craft. Quick courses can't replace that.

Please choose your artist wisely. Support professionals who took the time to do it right. Your safety—and our industry—depend on it.
