UPDATE!! I’m at the aquatic center now with all the coaches for the upcoming season. Registration for basketball will open tomorrw. Please register with lake havasu parks and rec. lake havasu city will be posting link tonight or tomorrow. I can repost that link when it’s available. We do need more volunteers for referees. If you are interested in being a referee please register online through lake havasu city’s rec website https://www.lhcaz.gov/human-resources/volunteers

The league will be co-ed, 2 divisions, 3rd-4th grade and 5th-6th grade. 10 person teams. When registration goes live it will be listed here

Update. Lake Havasu City has sent me a message about basketball for this winter. It’s not a league but it is something. The city will be offering a basketball clinic. It will focus on all the fundamentals of basketball. There will also be a scrimmage at the end of the clinic. This is an opportunity for all the parents out there to show the city there is enough kids and there is enough demand for a basketball league in our city. Please sign up through aquatic center online. If you scroll through the site you’ll see youth athletics. Click a link that Says “click here to register online”. Thank you for everyone that has bee following and liking this page. I do have an update. Lake havasu city did reach out to me and said if they get enough interest there will be leagues this year. Hoping to start a 6-8 week season in January. They are looking for volunteers and coaches. I will be coaching this year if a season comes about. Here is the information. Check out aquatic centers/lake havasu city’s website through December/january as registration will be online. Thank you everyone!!

Welcome Lake Havasu City Parents. I want to start off with introducing myself. My name is Steve. I’ve lived in Lake Havasu for 8 years now. I have twin 9 year olds. I also own a local business with my wife Melissa. Anyways, we have been keeping our kids involved in sports the last few years which has been great However this city lacks a youth basketball league. Growing up in Phoenix, as a kid with allergies, I mainly played basketball. Basketball became my life. I lived and breathed basketball. It taught me how to work as a team, how to be a leader, and how to push yourself to be better. Something our kids need. I don’t want to take anything away from all the great sports that Lake Havasu has but not every kid is in to outdoor only sports. There are a lot of kids that want to play basketball but don’t have the opportunity to play in Lake Havasu. So I’m starting this page to see if there is an interest, a need and to hopefully start a Recreational league that will be in Lake Havasu City for years to come. Please share and express your interests to our residents of the great City of Lake Havasu.
