Hello Everyone, I have been a resident of Lake Havasu for 9 years now. Over the years I have had the pleasure of getting to know many of our Havasu Community members who dont have a home to go to each night. They are good people in poor situations. This year I want to give back by helping our Havasu Homeless population. I am in the process of finding cost efficient bulk supplies to make survival packs for our less fortunate. I am going to find a few of the amazing people I have met over the years to find out what would help them survive the Arizona heat on the street and ask them to get the word out. I plan on making 12 survival packs myself but I figured I would try to make this bigger than just me. I am in the begining stages of this project and would appreciate any advice or tips from people who have done this before. I also want to open this to the public if anyone would like join in the effort so we can help more that 12 people. Once I have all the details together and figure out the cost of each survival pack I will update everyone at that time who might want to donate or volunteer. Please no negative comments and because I know its going to be said no not all homeless are drug addicts, many of them have mental illness, are veterans, or are just down on their luck in this economy. Again anyone that has tips or recommendations of places to get bulk supplies please feel free to comment or DM me. Thank you ahead of time for any help!
