In Honor, Love & Respect of one of the longest serving members of the LGFD.
Bud retired from the Lake George Fire Department after 40 years of active service. That's 4 decades of late-night calls, missed meals and countless hours serving his neighbors & community in their time of need. That is a milestone that many Fire Fighters aspire to reach but very few ever achieve.
His service didn’t stop after 40 years, you would still find him at the Fire Hall, supporting the Department at our Annual Bean Feed weekend. His dedication to his community is an inspiration, and the men and women of the LGFD are saddened by the loss and remain grateful for the dedication he showed.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
Celebrate the life of Walter "Bud" Johannsen and join others in sharing memories, stories, and condolences.
