In April of this year, We Stand Up Coalition (WSUC) became a chartered non-profit foundation with a mission of Inspiring Hope, Creating Change, and Empowering Individuals, Organizations, & Communities to Step Up. The seed of this initiative grew from the realization that, in spite of some community resources and social reform, many individuals are still affected by lack of available resources, lac
k of knowledge of resources, and failure of timely social reform. The founders joined their collective strengths with the goal of nurturing a coalition that can create social change that can improve the quality of lives for thousands. WSUC is entering a challenging and exciting time, as economic pressures, demand for services, lack of awareness, and gaps in services become more evident. We are continually striving to create more programming and community resources that would allow us to create greater awareness for social issues that plague our communities.
