📢 A Personal Message from Me

Hi everyone, I’m Sarah Hill, and I want to take a moment to introduce myself and explain why I’m fighting so hard to keep the YMCA in Lake Geneva where it belongs.

I have no financial stake in this. I’m not on the YMCA board. I hold no official position with the City of Lake Geneva. I’m just a lifelong local who can’t sit back and watch us lose something so important to our community.

I grew up just around the corner from the YMCA, where it was a part of my childhood, just like it has been for generations of kids, families, and seniors in Lake Geneva. I’m a 1991 graduate of Badger High School, a former Lake Geneva alderman, and someone who deeply cares about this town and its future.

This isn’t about politics.
This isn’t about personal gain.
This is about our community and what’s right.

For 140 years, the YMCA has been part of Lake Geneva. But now, instead of investing in a new, state-of-the-art facility here, the current leadership is quietly shifting their focus to Delavan.

💰 Developers and donors are lined up.
🏗 Plans are being made behind closed doors.
🚨 If we don’t act now, we will lose our YMCA forever.

I refuse to let that happen without a fight.

For 140 years, the YMCA has been a cornerstone of the Lake Geneva community, providing youth programs, family activities, senior wellness, and a place for all of us to belong. But now, our YMCA is at risk of losing its future in Lake Geneva forever.

The current Geneva Lakes YMCA building is over 50 years old and falling apart—leaky roofs, outdated equipment, overcrowded spaces, and facilities that no longer meet the needs of our growing community. Instead of investing in Lake Geneva, the YMCA Board has shifted its focus to building a brand-new $20 million facility in Delavan.

🚨 If we do nothing, the YMCA’s future will be in Delavan—not Lake Geneva.

We are fighting to:
