UPDATE: The Highway 50 Meeting on June 17 is being rescheduled. The City of Lake Geneva has canceled the Public Information Meeting, and a rescheduled date is pending.

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is going to improve approximately 2.5 miles of Wisconsin Hwy 50, also known as Main Street, from Forest Street to Grand Geneva Way.

🌈Why do we celebrate Pride?🌈

Today marks the 10 year anniversary of the Pulse nightclub shooting, where 49 lives were taken in an act of hate against the LGBTQ+ community. As we remember those lost, we are reminded that Pride is not only about how far we've come, but also about the work that remains.

Pride is more than a celebration—it is a recognition of the ongoing fight for equality, dignity, and the right for every person to live authentically.

While significant progress has been made since the movement's orgins at Stonewall in 1968, many LGBTQ+ individuals still face discrimination, violence, and barriers to full equality. Pride honors the generations who fought for change, celebrates the vibrant community that exists today, and calls on all of us to continue building a world where everyone is safe, welcomed, and valued.

We remember. We celebrate. We continue the work. 🏳️‍🌈

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us tonight for the Pride Welcome Bash at the beautiful Baker House! From the live music and delicious bites to the sunset toast in the speakeasy, the evening was filled with connection, celebration, and community.

We are grateful to every attendee, volunteer, sponsor, and supporter who helped create such a warm and welcoming atmosphere to start the weekend. Seeing our community come together to celebrate inclusivity, authenticity, and pride reminds us why this event is so special.
