Message from the Lake Geneva Business Improvement District in regard to Lake Geneva's Pre-Oktoberfest B**r Crawl:
This week, our downtown community unexpectedly lost a wonderful friend and advocate, Heidi McGraw, co-owner of Geneva Tap House.
Heidi was the person who first brought the idea for the Downtown B**r Crawl to life. In the wake of her passing, we considered cancelling this year’s event, but after speaking with her sister and co-owner Darsie along with their family, their wish—and ours—is to let the show go on in Heidi’s honor.
With the support of our BID Board, a portion of this year’s proceeds will be dedicated to helping Heidi’s family with funeral expenses. Moving forward, this event will proudly continue as the "Heidi McGraw Downtown B**r Crawl", with proceeds supporting cancer research in her memory.
Heidi believed deeply in this community and in bringing people together. We can think of no better way to honor her than to carry her idea forward, celebrate the community she loved, and create something meaningful in her name for years to come.
This one is for you, Heidi. ❤️
