Leashes of Love Rescue's focus is to save dogs from euthanization from high kill animal shelters in Southern California as well as Owner Surrenders that are unable to keep their pets. Leashes of Love Rescue is an organization dedicated to rescuing homeless and abandoned animals, primarily dogs from local high-kill shelters in Southern California and owners who can no longer care for them. Our goal

is not only to place dogs in well-matched, carefully screened forever homes, but also to educate dog owners about responsible pet ownership, including the importance of spay/neuter, positive behavior training, and good nutrition.

Hi, I’m Hugo! ☀️🐾

I’m a 5-year-old Chihuahua-Pug mix with a big personality packed into a little body. My signature underbite and the one tooth that’s always peeking out tend to make people smile—and I love the extra attention.

Toys are my absolute favorite thing. If it squeaks, bounces, or can be carried around proudly, I’m all in. Nothing makes me happier than racing around the yard during my daily zoomie sessions, so a secure fenced yard would be ideal for me. After a good play session, you’ll usually find me stretched out in a sunny spot or snuggled up next to my favorite human.

I’m crate trained and mostly housebroken, though I still need an occasional reminder about my manners. I do best with a routine and gentle guidance.

I get along well with other dogs, but I’ve discovered that
I really enjoy having my people all to myself. Because of that, I’d be happiest as the only dog in a calm home where I can be your constant companion. I also do well with kids and love being included in family life.

At the end of the day, I’m a sweet, loyal little guy looking for someone to share toys, sunshine, and lots of love with.

Hi there! I’m Abby, a 7-year-old Terrier mix with a gentle heart and a laid-back personality. At around 25 pounds, I’m the perfect size for couch cuddles, quiet companionship, and being your loyal shadow.

As a tri-pawd, I’ve learned that life is all about enjoying the simple things. I don’t need long adventures or endless activity to be happy. A short stroll around the neighborhood, a comfy place to nap, and my favorite people nearby are all I need to make my tail wag.

I’m the kind of girl who loves being part of your day. Whether you’re working from home, watching TV, or enjoying a quiet afternoon, I’ll happily settle in beside you. If I need a little extra love, I’ll simply give you my sweet signature look—and trust me, it’s hard to resist.

While I can coexist with other dogs, I much prefer having my own space and attention. Other pups getting in my face or trying to sniff me isn’t really my thing. Because of that, I’d thrive in a home where I can be your one and only furry companion.

Calling all Dachshund lovers—I might just be the little sidekick you’ve been searching for!

I’m Bean, a beautiful red Dachshund girl who’s about 2–3 years old and weighs a perfect 15 pounds. I’m fully vetted, spayed, and up to date on all my vaccinations, so I’m ready to find my forever family.

If you’re looking for a true Velcro dog, look no further! My favorite place in the world is curled up in your lap, snuggled under a blanket, or following you from room to room. I love being close to my people and am happiest when I’m part of whatever you’re doing.

When I’m not busy cuddling, you’ll find me playing with my toys. I absolutely love them and can often be caught proudly carrying one around the house. I’m sweet, affectionate, and always ready for a little fun.

I get along great with other dogs and would enjoy having a canine buddy, but I’d also be perfectly happy being your one-and-only princess. Because I prefer a quieter home, I’m looking for a family with children 15 years and older.

Being a Dachshund comes with a few special perks—and a few special responsibilities! My long body and short little legs make me extra cute, but they also mean I need a family that understands how important it is to protect my back. Dachshunds can be prone to IVDD (back problems), so I’d love a home with Dachshund experience or humans who are excited to learn about breed-specific care. A little knowledge goes a long way in helping me stay happy, healthy, and ready for years of snuggles, toy collecting, and lap-warming adventures. In return, I promise to be your loyal shadow, professional cuddle buddy, and biggest fan.

I may be small, but I have a lot of love to give. All I’m looking for is a family who understands me, loves me for the silly little Dachshund I am, and will let me spend my days doing what I do best—snuggling close, playing with my toys, and being your devoted little shadow.

Hi friends! I’m Skippy, a 1-year-old Goldendoodle tripod weighing about 50 lbs, and I’m looking for my forever family.

Don’t let the three legs fool you — I get around great and live a totally happy, playful life! My foster says I’m an absolute love bug who just wants to be close to my people.

I love following you around the house and will happily sleep right by your side at night. Being near my humans is my favorite place to be.

I have a medium energy level — I enjoy playtime and hanging out with other dogs (I love them all!), but I’m also perfectly happy relaxing and soaking up affection. Because I’m a tripod, short walks are best for me, but that just means more time for cuddles.

I’m already neutered and ready to start the next chapter of my life with a family who will love me as much as I’ll love them.

Hi! I’m Matterhorn, a 5-month-old Pug/French Bulldog mix (DNA confirmed!), and I’m the last puppy from my litter still waiting for my forever family. All of my brothers and sisters have already found their homes, and while I’m so happy for them, I’m hoping my perfect match is just around the corner.

In the meantime, I’m making the most of puppy life! My days are filled with pestering my endlessly patient mom, zooming around the yard like I’m training for the Puppy Olympics, and soaking up every ounce of human attention

I’m a loving, energetic, and loyal little guy who assumes everyone I meet is already part of my fan club. I adore kids, cuddles, and curling up for a well-earned nap after a day of adventures. I also get along well with cats and enjoy having furry friends around.

Like all puppies, I’ll need continued socialization and training to help me grow into the best dog I can be. Since I’m a brachycephalic (snub-nosed) mix, I’ll need to stay cool and avoid overheating. A home with another well-rounded dog would be a huge bonus—I love having partners in crime!
