Greetings Go Real Go Grass Supporters!


Today the City of Lake Forest announced the newly revised budget of $15.996M (plus $550K already spent for design) for the synthetic turf field project at Deerpath Community Park.



It is possible there will be a call for a Council vote on Feb 21st to award construction bids and to initiate requisite funding approvals for the design plan budget. The meeting starts at 6:30pm at City Hall.



If you think that a project with a $15.996M price tag for taxpayers needs more deliberation by City Council and residents than just four days over a holiday long weekend, please attend or call your aldermen.

There is no doubt that Deerpath Community Park needs to be improved. The option to switch from all grass to all artificial turf was made based on programming needs not being met. -Too many cancellations. -Too late a start in spring and not enough time in fall due to poor field conditions.The program...

Just 6 months after synthetic turf installations in a courtyard across from the Los Gatos elementary school garden, debris and leftover synthetic turf containing PFAS have migrated into the schools vegetable garden, poisening children with lead, mercury and PFAS. Who will speak up for our children’s safety? Imposing tax levies of $15 million on taxpayers to poison the children is not in our community’s best interest.
