Dear GreenMinds LFLB Members,

The holiday season is here, and we hope everyone is finding the time to enjoy it! The LFLB Chamber of Commerce has partnered with the City of Lake Forest again this year to host the Think Local Pop-Up Shop with items from 17 different local non-profit organizations. Participating non-profits receive all proceeds from the sale of items. GreenMinds has a table at the shop with products ranging from laundry detergent strips in paper packaging to cacao nibs sustainably produced by indigenous women in Panama.

Our tshirt to bags program started over 7 years ago by middle school students and is still going strong. Over the course of the Summer Middle School and High School students made over 700 bags which we shopped to this week. We don’t throw any scraps out. Scraps are used to braid dog toys and also to make dog beds for animal shelters.
