A yearly antiques and vintage market to benefit the Infant Welfare Society. 100% of the proceeds are donated to help in every aspect of the IWS.

Including our treasure tent which we take donations for each year.

Winter is coming, and so is our annual Maria Penland Auxiliary Coat Drive. Mark your calendar and start cleaning out those closets 🧣🧥❄️

You may drop off gently used coats at any CD One Price Cleaners in the Chicagoland area from October 24 through November 5th.

If you live in Lake Forest send us a DM and we can send you a local drop off spot that will be collecting new and gently used coats from October 19 through November 1.

This program makes a difference in the lives of the families we serve at IWS Health. We are so grateful for your support 🙏

We are so incredibly proud of our Lake Forest Iws Junior Board! They will have their own booth at Antiques & Treasures this Sunday, September 13 at the Lake Forest Train Station.

Meet the Board | Kate Holland

Our summer Executive Board spotlight series continues, and this month we’re excited to introduce Kate Holland, who is stepping into her new role as President of the Lake Forest Chapter of the Infant Welfare Society.

We asked Kate a few quick questions to get to know her a little better:

💙 Years on the Board: 8

💭 Favorite IWS Memory: “One of my favorite parts of LFIWS is getting to work alongside this incredible group of women. You think you know someone, and then they casually reveal another hidden talent or solve a problem in a way that leaves you thinking, ‘Wow, I had no idea.’ It happens over and over again, and it’s one of the things I love most. We may just be Lake Forest’s best-kept secret!”

🏡 Most Excited About: Showhouse 2027!

🌏 Fun Fact: Aside from Tokyo, Japan, Lake Forest is the longest Kate has ever lived in one place. She and her family moved here in 2018 and have loved being part of this wonderful community ever since.

We are incredibly grateful for the enthusiasm, vision, and thoughtful leadership Kate brings to our board. Her ability to inspire action while providing clear direction makes her the perfect person to lead our organization into its next chapter (and into another Showhouse year 😘).

Last weekend’s Designer Tent sale was a wild success, and we had so much fun volunteering at the sale—ringing up customers, packaging purchases, and seeing our community come together!
