Last weekend’s Designer Tent sale was a wild success, and we had so much fun volunteering at the sale—ringing up customers, packaging purchases, and seeing our community come together!

Today we celebrate the life of Tom Cooper — a man whose legacy lives on in the people he loved and the lives he continues to touch.
After the passing of his beloved wife Janie in 2022, the Cooper family made a generous gift to Infant Welfare Society that became the foundation of Janie’s Kitchen at the Logan Square IWS Family Health center. What began as a tribute has grown into something extraordinary — now providing fresh produce and pantry staples for over 100 families each week. Tom’s life was defined by quiet generosity, deep love for his family, and a commitment to caring for others. That spirit lives on through his children and grandchildren, and through every family served at Janie’s Kitchen.
Today, we honor Tom not only for the life he lived, but for the lasting impact he leaves behind — a legacy of compassion, community, and nourishment.
