Friends of Third Place Commons is an effective organization with the significant mission of providing accessible community space and creating opportunities for people of all ages, regardless of their income level or physical abilities. With a moderate budget, small staff, and devoted volunteer base, we coordinate 800 events every year, serve at least 1000 people who use the Commons daily, and another 7,000 who shop at our weekly farmers market.

Seniors with the "Senior FMNP" benefit ($80/season) can shop at participating farmers markets from June 1 to Oct 31. Look for vendors with the WIC & Senior FMNP sign. 🍓 Buy fresh fruits, veggies, or cut herbs! 🥬 And honey! 🍯

🎭✨ Congratulations to Seattle’s Performers’ Elite Group!

Did you catch Seattle’s Performers on the Commons Stage in April? Their talented performers, ages 10–17, took that showcase of vocal solos and duets, acting monologues, and dance performances to San Diego in May for the MTC Triple Threat Competition - and came home with top honors!

The LFP Town Center-based youth theatre program earned the prestigious MTC Triple Threat Studio Award, recognizing the highest overall excellence in acting, singing, and dancing among participating studios. SP Elite also won 1st Place in the Large Group Song & Dance category and brought home numerous individual awards and scholarships.

Congratulations to these remarkable young local artists and their dedicated instructors. Bravo! 👏🎉

A treasured part of the Commons for more than 20 years, the giant chess set has been carefully refurbished by a dedicated volunteer team led by Ross Baarslog-Benson and paired with a newly designed custom board.

Whether you're a seasoned player, a curious beginner, or just looking for some oversized fun, everyone is welcome!

It’s a beautiful day at the market - come on down and stock up on all the good things we have here today. Strawberries and cherries! Plant starters! A wide variety of mushrooms, fresh produce, fish, nuts, arts, crafts - and don’t forget the popsicles! We’re here until 2!
