With all the talk of beagles in the news, I couldn’t help but post this throwback of me and Booker. Never forget that the huge numbers of animals we hear about being used by labs aren’t just numbers - they’re all individual, unique, beings, each with the same capacity for love and joy and happiness as Booker. Make sure you’re always buying cruelty free and vegan to make sure your choices are working toward a world where all beagles are free to give and receive the love they deserve, just like Booker 🥰

Pigeons... adorable AND incredibly smart. Pigeons can recognize human faces, remember places for years, and even solve simple problems. They form strong bonds and are honestly kind of INSPIRING.

This curly friend lives in the pigeon aviary at New Life Animal Sanctuary alongside the “lucky 13” pigeons rescued from a laboratory 6 years ago.

Next time you spot a pigeon strutting down the sidewalk, think about the NLAS mission - no bird or animal should be experimented on in a laboratory, plain and simple. Buy only CRUELTY-FREE items please - testing on animals is fearful, stressful, and painful.

Three more ladies from the hoarding situation we rescued some ducks from a few weeks ago went to their forever home today! That’s their new boyfriend (hopefully), Malibu, on the other side of the fence. Thank you Adrianna and Mike, owners of , who not only take excellent after care of our animals when they pass but have now welcomed these lucky, rescued girls into their family! 🦆

Harriet the Yucatan mini-pig survived a lab. Once safe at New Life Animal Sanctuary, she not only healed — she helped another pig, Lynn, do the same.

Our original Jude Bunny, rescued from a laboratory just over 2 years ago. Shortly after rescue, she had complications due to the research done and not being spayed, and was at death’s door.

With the help of our friend Jude Ferguson and Dr. Ross ( ), she made a miraculous recovery! And found the best, forever home with Golden Years Animal Sanctuary.

We still pinch ourselves that she even survived all she did! Here she is today, living her best life at Golden Years!! 💞
