Have you registered your students yet for the Color Run? Mark your calendars for October 15!

A few days into our official Color Run 2025 launch, and we're ALMOST 20% to our goal! We are BLOWN AWAY by the support of our OMS community and are so appreciative of how much everyone is showing up! We get teary-eyed every single time a donation comes in.

Thank you SO MUCH for all of your support so far! We can't wait to see what's to come!

Every Friday, our OMS teachers make popcorn for everyone. This fall, their machine broke for the 5th and final day time. Joe tried his best to keep it going, but it was time to retire the old popcorn machine.

This week, with the generous donations of our community, we were able to surprise the staff with a BRAND NEW POPCORN MACHINE!

If you’ve clicked our PayPal QR code, if you’ve bought snacks (or sent money to school to buy snacks) from our concession tables, if you’ve put cash in our jar, if you were one of the friendly cars I knocked on the window of at the end of the school year asking for donations, THANK YOU! We appreciate you and all your help so we can do what we do. Thank you for your ongoing support of the OMS PTO and our OMS community.

Please read about what we’ve been working on at OMS and like our NEW PTO PAGE! (Look for the Oak-Land pony profile photo!)

Here are a few things heading to OMS teachers on Monday. Teachers can fill out a google form requesting the PTO to purchase things they need including new books, conversation starters, rubber bands for 8th grade algebra, pencils (our teachers gone through thousands this year), incentives for students, and colored pencils and markers.

We love being able to support our teachers and OMS staff exactly how they need support. Right now, we have a lot of requests for tissues and Clorox wipes.

The feedback we’ve gotten so hard has been absolutely overwhelmingly appreciative. And we can’t keep helping without your help.

Check out this incredible game cart! Our school reached out to the community to help fulfill a need and our community showed up!

Donated and funded by community members and our PTO, students will now have access to games during their lunch periods. Thank you, Assistant Principal Kasie Tverberg for putting this project together!

Thank you to everyone who donated to make this project a reality. We are so thankful for your support! Not pictured are giant connect 4s, gift cards, snacks, and other prizes.

This morning our PTO was able to treat our OMS staff to coffee, generously donated by Caribou Coffee Woodbury Marketplace, and muffins for OMS’s staff meeting.

We would love to continue to feed our OMS staff at their monthly meetings and would love community support to keep this going! If you would be interested in donating breakfast or break room treats or have local contacts we can connect with, please reach out!

OMS 8th Grade Orchestra performed beautifully at Orchestra Hall tonight, also took home a Trophy from MN SOTA organization! Congrats to Mrs. Vanderstrappen on a job well done leading this group of musicians!
