Summer Camp Spotlight! Wonder Wednesday: Raptor Mania. Wednesday, June 10, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Our one-day, fun-filled, Wonder Wednesdays let kids explore the beautiful outdoor setting and learn about their surrounding environment. It is run by experienced instructors and the days include interpretive education, games, crafts to bring home, free play and hikes.

June 10: Raptor Mania

Owls, eagles, and vultures, oh my! We are delighted to invite the Dodge Nature Center and one of their impressive raptor ambassadors to join us for this special camp. (Ages 5-10)

Day: Wednesdays

Time: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Ages: 5 and up (varies according to camp topic)

Cost: $85 per camper/per session

This year we will also be opening up our Dodge visit to all families. At 2 p.m. they will be here with a live raptor to entertain and educate us. Want to check it out? You can attend for $5 for up to 4 family members--Wonder Wednesday campers get front row seats.

One of our volunteers, Deb, was out cutting invasives when she saw this snapping turtle laying her eggs. Of course, mama picked a really inconvenient spot for her nest--half on the trail! If you're out in the eastern part of the park, and you see this little disturbance, please give it a wide berth. (Thanks, Deb, for the pics!)
