The Foundation’s primary focus is to award scholarships to students residing in or graduating from high school in Kanabec, Pine and Washington counties of Minnesota and who will be attending an accredited college or university in the United States. He harvested his lumber in the St. Tozer directed in his Will that a charitable corporation be formed with a mission of support, charitable purposes, a
s may be determined by the Board of Directors. David Tozer’s Will also specified that a significant portion of the organization’s assets be used to assist needy and worthy young people in Minnesota to obtain a post secondary education. He further directed that preference be given to young people from Kanabec, Pine and Washington counties. Currently the Tozer Foundation awards approximately 450 to 500 scholarships each year to said “worthy and needy” students.
