Since 1966...... we've gathered 9 months out of the year to eat torsk, a boiled potato, a bit of clarified butter... and share a bit of Aquavit with family and friends.

We've all taken different paths to get here. Maybe it was a friend that introduced us. Maybe you were a speaker that enjoyed the experience so much that you decided to become a member. Maybe you are one of the few multi-generational members that have been around since the 60's and 70's....

Whatever your path, it is an amazing thing that for 60 years, we've gathered together like this.

Multiple location changes, a Covid cancelation for a year..... we have always come back.

It's truly a special thing.

To all of you that have taken your path to lead you here......

The Klubben always serves the Linie straight out of the freezer. The bottle is always frosty and the servers have to wear gloves. We have our glasses filled with the fish-eye pour, and raise it when Joel says so and demands "no spillage", then with our right hand...bang on the table 3 times and with a hefty roar "BRING ON THE TORSK"

It may not be done that way in Norway, but it's a tradition that we've had for 60 years.

Every meeting, we are fortunate enough to have our song leader, Joel make the trek up the steps and lead us through the "Star Spangled Banner" and "Ja, Vi Elsker Dette Landet". The song sheets are usually stained by drips of Linie Aquavit and butter. We hold the paper like we've done for 60 years and belt out in "E-Natural" so the whole room resonates to the point where you can hear it from outside the building. It's a magical experience that lasts about 5 minutes, 9 months a year.

Get your RSVPs in asap. You only have a few more days.
