The final show in our fall series is being cancelled for today and rescheduled for next Saturday, November 4th. Please spread the word. This constant rain has succeeded in flooding the arena. We worked on it last night and thought we would be good but last night's downpour was just too much. According to forecasts it is supposed to be drier this next week so we are hoping it will give the arena a chance to recover by next Saturday. Have never had a November horse show so maybe mother nature will be kinder this week and give us a break from all this rain.

Thank you everyone who braved the weather and attended our second series show. Between the warm food and refreshments at the food booth and the campfire it was not too bad. These are the results of that show. Our final 2023 series show will be October 28th

Mother nature has said welcome Fall... So the plan is for this weekend to change it up a little bit. We are going to plan on moving the Sara Bolin clinic (we are currently working out details on a makeup date) no one wants to spend that many hours in the rain trying to learn. We are planning to continue on with the show as planned (the rain is supposed to clear midday and the arena is holding great). We plan to have a food booth full of warm goodies- hot dogs, chilli, goulash, hot apple cider, hot chocolate, rolls, and apple crisp. We also are hoping to have some warming areas set up and s'mores available. We know it is going to be a crisp fall evening but we ask that you bundle up and come enjoy another Northern Michigan evening before the snow flys.

It is official we will be holding a clinic on October 14th with Sarah Bolin. This clinic will take place from 10 to 2 pm at the Lake City Arena.We are so excited to have her join us and work on our horsemanship skills with a focus on speed events. At this time we still have a couple of rider openings for $150.We would like a $75 deposit and the rest payable at the clinic. Please reach out to us on fb if you would like to join us for a great day of learning.

This weekend I had the opportunity to attend a pole bending clinic hosted by Sarah Bolin. This was a great clinic and we would like to host one at Lake City on October 14th prior to our show. Sarah did a great job of relating to each rider and helping them build strengths and goals. We are aiming for this show not to be event specific but more a focus in horsemanship and goal building to help improve your overall relationship and patterns with your speed horse. The cost of this clinic would only be $150 per person for about 4 hours or $50 to audit. $75 deposit would be due to hold your spot with a limit of 10 riders. If we can get enough interest off this post we will set this event up.Please comment below if you are interested and available on this date.
