Community doesn't just occur because people live in proximity to one another. It requires space. It is dependent on design.

If you want people to experience a sense of community in your town, you have to provide them with attractive, fun and social spaces to convene.

If no one feels an attachment to your town, ask yourself, where do people go to be with one another.

LAKE CITY FIREWORKS DISPLAY UPDATE:

Unfortunately, the weather may not cooperate for this year's fireworks display over the lake. We contacted a representative from the Lake City Chamber of Commerce today and they informed us that the decision to cancel will depend on the weather, but if they decide to cancel the fireworks display, it will be re-scheduled for Saturday, July 9th. No comment was made as to what the deadline will be to make a decision on the 2022 fireworks display.

Lake City Historical Main Street is committed to bringing excitement, vitality, and community back to our downtown area, and one way to accomplish this is by the addition of parklets in our downtown.

Countless towns and cities in Minnesota, as well as throughout the nation, are beginning to realize the economic and community benefits parklets bring to their downtown areas. It’s time Lake City enjoys the benefits a more walkable, pedestrian-friendly city can provide.

Just in time for Water Ski Days, this exhibit is amazing!

The current exhibit is open now through July 31st, 2022. LCAA is honored to be part of such a historic event.

LCAA accepts donations at all exhibits and events. Be sure to inquire about becoming an LCAA member.

Be aware the Lake City Marina Parking Lot will be largely unavailable for use throughout the Summer.

Construction is beginning on our new parking lot! The construction will be done over the next couple months. The parking lot will be reserve for Lake City Marina customers only. Marina Ramp may be closed periodically due to the construction. Thanks for your understanding. It will be so nice when is done!
