A case of strangles was identified in a horse that was at the MAC in Bastrop, LA last weekend. It is recommended to keep any horses that you had at the facility separate from others for the next two weeks, as able. Daily temperature (normal 99-101F) checks will help monitor the risk of infection. If you suspect that your horse has strangles, please contact a vet immediately.
