Thanks to a $225,000 investment from the ExxonMobil Foundation, SOWELA unveiled a newly renovated multipurpose room and celebrated the success of its STEM Energy Professional Development Program.

From creating state-of-the-art learning spaces to empowering local educators with innovative energy-focused curriculum, this partnership is helping prepare the next generation of skilled professionals and STEM leaders.

👩‍🍳🎤 From the Kitchen to the Stage, Adrienne Ward Is Finding Her Path at SOWELA!

What began as a backup plan turned into the perfect fit. After touring SOWELA, Adrienne Ward found a welcoming environment and a Culinary Medicine program that combined her passion for food, nutrition, and helping others live healthier lives.

As a full-time employee and student, Adrienne values the program's flexibility, supportive faculty, and hands-on learning experiences that keep her on track toward her goals.

When she's not creating nutritious recipes, Adrienne is sharing her voice with the community as a local Star Spangled Sing-Off winner and National Anthem performer.

Her advice to future students: "Don't be reluctant to try a different college experience. Take a unique step!"
