This is a powerful truth to those who are in a hard season …

Can I offer you a different way to look at your story today?

We live in a world that loves to ask the question, “What would you tell your younger self?” But here's what I've come to believe: how else were we going to get formed?

Everything we look back on and wish had gone differently — the unfair seasons, the unplanned detours, the doors that closed, the prayers that seemed to go unanswered — God was in all of it.

Not despite those moments.
Through them.

You can't skip the pain and still get the formation. The two are not separate. The hard seasons weren't detours from God's plan. In so many ways, they were the plan. He was shaping something in you that could not have been shaped any other way.

And if you're in a hard season right now, one you didn't ask for and wouldn't have chosen, I want you to know that God is in the gap. He is present in the space between where you are and where you thought you'd be by now.

You are not behind.
You are not forgotten.
You have everything you need in this moment with Him.

One day you will look back at this very season and thank God for how He used it.
Trust Him with it today. 💛
