I’m really looking forward to getting this support group started in our community!
What’s on the agenda to get started with scheduled meets:
1) find a location that will allow us to hold physical support group sessions.
I’d like to find something in lake Charles. Maybe their community library. But if anyone has other options reach out!
2) finding a day and time out the month/week that works well.
I’m thinking one Tuesday out the month in the evening
3) volunteers for set ups, alternative to provide snacks, etc
4) invite other service dog handlers to the group that may be interested.
I’d like to try to keep this group to service dog handlers only or people interested in learning from other handlers about service dogs.
So feel free to invite anyone you think falls in that category!
